Job Summary

The Teen Program Coordinator participates in developing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating educational, recreational, and social programs. ?He/she will also assist in managing support staff, including program assistants, operations assistants, group leaders, and volunteers.?

Responsibilities?

  • Under the supervision of the Teen Director, oversee the implementation and facilitation of programs and curricula

  • Assist in the planning and management of daily activities in the clubhouse and external spaces?

  • Assist Teen Director with special events, parent activities, and trips

  • Assist Teen Director in managing training, supervision, and evaluation of frontline staff and volunteers

  • Use behavior management strategies to defuse inappropriate behavior and communicate behavior incidents with the Teen Director and other necessary staff

  • Attend mandatory professional development trainings

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications?

  • Previous experience in youth development, education, or afterschool

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with young children, staff, and parents

  • Experience managing multiple priorities

  • Well organized, able to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Experience managing staff preferred

  • Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • First Aid and CPR certification desirable
