As a Telecom Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will be the primary interface responsible for preparing and submitting regulatory compliance reports to federal and state agencies on behalf of telecommunications providers. In this role, you will work closely with our telecom clients to ensure timely, accurate filings that meet the evolving regulatory requirements while applying your expertise in compliance, accounting, and utility regulation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned telecommunications clients regarding regulatory reporting.
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary reporting information and ensure timely submissions.
- Analyze financial and operational data to prepare and submit compliance filings to the FCC, PUCs, and other regulatory agencies.
- Maintain strong knowledge of industry regulatory changes and apply updates to compliance processes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Combination of education and a minimum of 1 year of office experience in one or more of the following areas: Accounting, Telecom Regulatory Compliance, Taxes, Telecommunications, Utility Regulation.
- Strong math, logic, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Strong time management skills and comfort with meeting strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience preparing and filing telecommunications regulatory reports is ideal.
- Finance, Accounting, or Business degree is preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience with Excel is a plus.
