This position is an Analyst role with the TMT investment banking coverage team. In this role, you will support deal origination and transaction execution within TMT's sectors, including Software, Semiconductors, Internet, Media, Telecom, Data & Analytics, Business Services, and FinTech.

- Participate in analyzing companies, develop strategies for clients, pulling market and industry research, and completing a trading simulation within Investment Banking Mid-Year Program
- Review strategies for clients, build detailed financial models, analyze market data, and prepare client presentations related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables
- Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal and external customers
- Create detailed financial models used for valuation (DCF, LBO, merger plans, accretion/dilution, comparable company and transaction analyses)
- Perform comprehensive company and industry research
- Work closely with senior bankers on client presentations, financial and credit analyses, and the preparation of financial projections and models, including valuations and merger consequences
- Prepare marketing documents, including pitch materials, confidential offering memoranda
- Conduct extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of potential transactions
- Work as a member of a team executing advisory services across products including M&A, equity, debt, leveraged finance, etc.
- Participate in client meetings, due diligence visits, and other client interactions to gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Support senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities, including interaction with current and prospective clients
- 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 6+ months of experience covering TMT sectors
- Ability to work collaboratively in a demanding, highly focused, deadline-driven team environment with a sense of personal accountability for achieving results
- Strong financial modeling skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance
- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire.
