Elliott Davis Advisory LLC's Transaction Advisory Services ("TAS") practice assists clients by providing financial, tax and information technology due diligence, primarily focusing on buy-side and sell-side assistance, to private equity funds, mezzanine funds and strategic buyers. 
  
The Firm is searching for a Transaction Advisory Director who would work remotely within the Firm’s transaction advisory services practice in Chicago, IL.  Prior experience in financial due diligence is necessary for this position, as this person will lead and manage multiple M&A related engagements. The candidate will be an important part of the Firm’s TAS practice and will have responsibility for overseeing and executing many aspects of the financial due diligence process.

Responsibilities
•    Lead buy-side and sell-side transaction services engagements, providing financial due diligence assistance to private equity, mezzanine funds and strategic buyers
•    Perform quality of earnings, debt and debt-like, and working capital analysis
•    Understand and evaluate financial and operational trends of target companies
•    Communicate due diligence findings verbally to clients and in a formal written report
•    Create and design tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, financial reporting, net working capital trends and indebtedness considerations
•    Ability to lead an engagement and provide real time feedback and guidance to client to ensure timely and efficient product delivery
•    Leading due diligence meetings with target management 
•    Supervise staff and provide performance feedback 
•    Lead and participate in people development and business development efforts
•    Willingness to travel (typically around 25-30%)

Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
•    Current licensed CPA
•    8+ years of recent audit, transaction advisory or other relevant experience. Prior transaction advisory services experience required 
•    Big 4, National or large regional firm experience preferred
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Aptitude towards business development
•    Experience in project management including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing staff, clients, and/or shareholders towards the successful completion of a project
•    Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
•    Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting issues
•    Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously (multi-task)
•    Superior client service focus
