Purpose of role:

To create, develop and maintain direct communication and relationships with current and potential clients. This role will work closely with the proposal team to act as the sales front person to close business opportunities.

The role is primarily based in the USA and will also look to identify and create opportunities by greater use of LinkedIn and other web tools.


As the primary advocate for the customer and their needs of Halifax-Fan, this function plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization is aware of the needs and commitments made to existing and potential customers.


Responsibilities included; external sales, post-sale support, conformance to contract, pricing, and member of the US Team. This is largely a functional role (sales) requiring strong cross functional skills.

 

Quality, Cost, Delivery & Safety (QCDS) responsibilities

  • Quality: Meet Revenue goals and ensure conformance to the Customer plan. Work to    ensure contractual terms are attainable.
  • Cost: Maximize margins, grow Revenues and minimize non-value add activity
  • Delivery:    Ensure timely delivery of all required outputs throughout every phase to support customer needs.
  • Safety: Ensure compliance of the Group HSE Policy

 

Key Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Drive deployment of the organization’s sales process, practices and guidelines
  • Maintain a structured plan to grow the business with new and existing customers
  • Coach the Organization as a whole on the disciplines that lead to attaining customer awareness and dependency
  • Encourage flexibility without operational compromise to win ‘good’ business
  • Support as a priority, the development of the Halifax-fan Product Configurator
  • Support the product development plan and schedule. Confer with stake holders, including the Board of Directors on needs
  • Ensure adequate technical and process rigor is applied during all phases of the selling process; and commitments given to internal and external customers are met
  • Ensure rigor is applied to optimizing the use of working capital
  • Maintain a no compromise health and safe work environment for all employees
  • This is a role requiring cross functional working skills

 

Knowledge, Skill or Ability required:

  • Engineering/Technical degree preferred
  • 5+ years operational or technical sales experience required
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis
