The Role

We're looking for a Product Engineer to work on LM Studio's UX and User Interface. You design and style React components with care, work closely with designers and other engineers, and turn ambiguous ideas into intuitive, polished experiences. You have deep empathy for users, see around corners, and proactively simplify flows, states, and edge cases.

You are extremely productive with TypeScript and Tailwind, and you hold the bar on accessibility, performance, and craft. You take initiative beyond the ticket and raise the bar through design docs, pairing, and reviews.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years building production UIs with React + TypeScript. This is a must.

  • Strong design and styling sense: craft components, layouts, and interactions; work closely with designers to implement and evolve design systems.

  • Expert‑level React internals and performance; profile and tune rendering.

  • Architecture: simple state and data flows; clear module/component boundaries; resilient error handling.

  • TypeScript + Tailwind mastery; responsive, accessible, polished UI.

  • Deep user empathy and product sense; prioritize intuitive experiences and clarity.

  • Proactive and collaborative: see around corners, take initiative beyond the ticket.
