Design end-to-end AI-native user experiences for clinicians, pharmacists, and patients: research, journey mapping, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity specs. Build and maintain a design system, conduct user research with healthcare stakeholders, partner with engineering and product to ship designs, and support sales/customer success with demos and UI improvements.
Asepha builds advanced AI tools that re‑imagine how medications are prescribed, verified, and supported across the pharmacy ecosystem. Backed by $4M in funding and trusted by multiple Fortune 50 healthcare organizations, we’re scaling rapidly and looking for a UX Designer who has shaped the experience of AI-powered products. Your work will have a direct impact on how clinicians, pharmacists, and patients interact with our platform.
Join our mission:
We’re building a world where medication delays are impossible. From the moment a prescription is written, the path to therapy start is clear, fast, and predictable. Asepha is the context graph for the therapy-start journey, connecting the fragmented steps that slow down medication access: intake, coordination, utilization management, and clinical services.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end design from initial research and journey mapping through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity specs handed off to engineering.
- Design intuitive interfaces for AI-native workflows including agentic task flows, human-in-the-loop escalations, and real-time updates that make complex automation feel simple and trustworthy.
- Conduct user research with pharmacists, clinicians, and operations staff; synthesize findings into design decisions.
- Build and maintain a design system that keeps the product consistent as it scales across multiple user personas and workflow types.
- Partner closely with engineering, product, and our pharmacy team to turn ambiguous clinical problems into clear, shippable experiences.
- Support sales and customer success with demo environments, pitch materials, and lightweight UI improvements that reflect our product vision.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of product/UX design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating shipped AI-powered products.
- Deep experience designing for AI platforms: you understand how to communicate model confidence, handle errors gracefully, and keep humans appropriately in control.
- Experience working directly with engineers and shipping designs into production.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in healthcare, pharma, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with LLM output interfaces, chat UX, or structured data visualizations.
- Front-end development experience appreciated.
- Based in Toronto Canada or Manhattan US preferred but open to remote for the right candidate.
Perks:
- Competitive compensation package, including $120-170k annual salary + stock options
- Full medical, dental, vision, and extended health benefits
- Unlimited days off to maintain a healthy work-life balance + 2 weeks of company-wide office closure during the holidays
- 2 annual off-site trips with the team
- Complimentary breakfast and lunch provided daily in the office. Dinner also provided if staying past 7pm.
Note: Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
