Creates accurate pipe and duct spool drawings, assembly drawings, skid drawings, spool maps, and manufacturing documentation from coordinated VDC/BIM models. Reviews designs for quality, constructability, and manufacturability; exports model data to CAM software; organizes components for fabrication; and collaborates with VDC, shop, field, and project teams to support efficient installation and project execution.
As a VDC Spooler at RK, you’ll serve as the critical link between virtual design and real-world installation. In this role, you’ll transform coordinated models into accurate spool drawings that our fabrication and field teams rely on every day. Precision, organization, and attention to detail are essential as you ensure assemblies are production-ready, minimize errors, and help projects move seamlessly from design to construction.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with models, translating technical details into practical outputs, and making a direct impact on project execution in both the shop and the field. With RK’s advanced VDC technology and collaborative team environment, you’ll develop specialized skills while contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects.
