We are hiring a Venture Partner to bring new opportunities into Pairs, and to grow the network of investors who see them first.
Pairs is a global network of family offices, institutional investors, VCs and angels. We screen deal flow very tightly, and the opportunities that clear our diligence go out to the network. We invest alongside them too.
THE ROLE
This role works across both sides of Pairs. You bring in companies worth our diligence, and you grow the network of investors who back them directly.
This role is for people who bring in deals on their own. You already have an active network of founders who are raising, and investors who write direct cheques. Here you open new relationships on both sides every month, using the same approach that built your existing ones.
We are not raising a fund. Our investors invest directly in companies, so the work is about family offices, high-net-worth individuals and angels, not fund LPs.
Our platform handles the pipeline, research and follow-up. Your time goes to founder and investor conversations, and to judging which opportunities deserve the network's attention.
You will work directly with the two co-founders and our investor team. The organisation is flat, so you will see first-hand how we screen opportunities, what we decline and why.
Your current title matters less than the quality of your relationships. We are looking for someone who has built those relationships personally and can explain exactly how.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • New opportunities. Companies raising Series A and later, brought to Pairs with the context our team needs to assess them.

  • Network growth. New relationships every month with family offices, high-net-worth individuals and angel investors who are new to Pairs.

  • Investor matching. A clear understanding of what each investor looks for, so the opportunities you share are relevant.

  • Your relationships. The founders and investors you bring, kept current and qualified. They remain yours.

YOU ARE A FIT IF YOU

  • Have an active network of founders you can bring to the table yourself, and direct investor relationships you built personally.

  • Have brought at least one company or investor into a private round, and can walk us through how it happened.

  • Understand what makes a company worth an investor's time: stage, traction, round structure, and the reasons investors pass.

  • Treat discretion as second nature. Please do not include any investor or company names in your application.

  • Use AI tools daily, with clear judgement about where they improve your work and where they would compromise its quality.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A fully remote, asynchronous role

  • Direct access to the co-founders and our investor team

  • Close collaboration with our internal team

  • Live mandates from your first week, and access to the opportunities that clear our diligence

  • Insight into our internal processes, including how we screen deal flow

  • A base salary plus commission
