DBRS Morningstar is seeking a Vice President, Sales within the Global Business Development team to further develop our U.S. structured credit and leveraged loan rating business. A measure of success for this role will be the expansion of relationships with asset managers, intermediaries, and lenders, ultimately increasing market demand for DBRS Morningstar ratings. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of structured credit markets, ranging from leveraged loans to CLOs and fund debt issuance. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Business Development for U.S. Structured Credit and is based in our New York office.
Required capabilities
  • Understanding of debt capital markets, loan origination, asset management, and investors
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with negotiation
  • Conduct effective business meetings
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics
  • Ability to travel as required within United States

Ideal qualifications
  • Understanding of U.S. structured finance markets
  • Strong relationships with market participants in structured credit
  • Disciplined approach to achieving goals
  • Experience with Salesforce and Bloomberg terminal

Responsibilities
  • Expand coverage of structured credit sectors by meeting annual goals for growth
  • Track key metrics and communicate results as appropriate to senior executives
  • Identify opportunities for new product development
  • Work across internal groups including finance, marketing and customer services as necessary
  • Coordinate with marketing team on promotion of DBRS Morningstar at industry conferences

Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $165,000 + 40% Annual Bonus Target
