Position Purpose

The VP Corporate & Channel Marketing will be a hands-on leader who unifies a mix of digital and offline channels to grow sales, leads, and brand visibility, including ecommerce, email, social media, print and digital advertising, PR, conference marketing, and catalogs. This role drives comprehensive digital marketing strategy and actively collaborates with and leverages digital design support to deliver high-impact, user-centric visual experiences across all web assets and campaigns. The VP additionally oversees marketing analytics and HubSpot administration and list segmentation, ensuring an actionable marketing database for targeted campaigns. This position collaborates closely with BEC’s product management and product marketing teams in creating coherent, multi-channel go-to-market and customer-lifecycle strategy and campaigns, and with field sales in developing rep-customized lead-gen initiatives.


Duties and Responsibilities

 Strategic Leadership·       Digital Marketing Strategy: Architect, deploy, and scale data-driven digital marketing strategies across paid, earned, and owned media to accelerate customer acquisition and lifetime value.·       Annual Planning: Develop annual marketing plan and budget, aligning channel-level goals to company revenue, growth, and brand objectives and allocating spend based on performance and strategic priority.·       Cross-Functional Alignment: Translate business goals into a coherent, multi-channel, go-to-market and customer-lifecycle strategy.·       Executive Reporting: Establish unified reporting cadence across all channels and present marketing performance and recommendations to executive leadership. 

Channel & Digital Support Integration

Direct strategy and hold teams accountable for performance across:


·       Digital Design Collaboration: Partner closely with digital design and UX resources to ensure marketing assets, landing pages, and web properties align with user experience best practices, responsiveness, and accessibility standards.·       Ecommerce: Site merchandising, conversion optimization, and revenue performance, with ongoing evaluation of new technologies and add-on applications to optimize reach; establish analytics to understand inbound marketing and customer journeys, optimize eComm paths, and continually refine our process to convert customers.·       Email: Campaign strategy, lifecycle/retention programs, and deliverability.·       Social Media: Organic and paid content strategy, community, and brand voice.·       Advertising: Both digital (newsletter banner, paid search, paid social) and print media planning/buying.·       PR: Media relations, press strategy (BEC web properties, Cision/PR Newswire).·       Conferences/Events: Trade show presence, sponsorships, invitations.·       Catalogs: Print and digital catalog strategy production and circulation.·       Brand Integrity: Coordinate with creative teams to maintain a consistent brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across every channel and digital touchpoint.·       Synergy Optimization: Identify cross-channel synergies (e.g., aligning catalog drops with coordinated digital campaigns, email sequences, and paid social pushes). Marketing Operations & Analytics·       HubSpot Administration: Oversee the marketing operations lead responsible for HubSpot administration, list segmentation, and lead lifecycle management.·       Database Health: Ensure marketing database is clean, well-segmented, and actionable for targeted campaigns.·       Data & Analytics: Direct marketing analytics: define KPIs, build reporting dashboards, and ensure teams have the data needed to optimize spend and tactics.·       Optimization Culture: Encourage a test-and-learn approach, using data to guide budget shifts, creative asset requests, and channel decisions. Team &Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Creative Enablement: Provide clear briefs, strategic marketing direction, and constructive feedback to digital design and content resources to support high-quality asset creation.
  • Talent Management: Hire, mentor, and manage a team of channel leads and specialists; set goals and conduct performance reviews.
  • Calendar Management: Foster collaboration across channels, ensuring marketing initiatives derive from a common campaign calendar.
  • Vendor & Agency Relations: Manage relationships with external digital agencies, freelancers, and vendors as needed.

 

Job Requirements: Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple marketing channels.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing strategies that drive measurable revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with digital design, UX, and front-end teams to bring digital campaign visions to life.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally and brief creative workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience managing both digital and offline/print marketing channels.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or comparable marketing automation/CRM platform.
  • Strong grasp of marketing analytics, attribution models, and the use of performance data to guide creative asset requests and strategy.
  • Experience with ecommerce marketing and understanding of conversion/retention metrics.
  • Track record of managing significant marketing budget-building, reforecasting, reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, management, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks, cross-team timelines, and digital projects.

Preferred:

  • Background in education marketing, preferably focused on literacy and including core curriculum.
  • Experience managing catalog orsa direct-mail marketing programs.
  • Familiarity with PR strategy and media relations, in-house or via agency management.

Salary Range: $175,000 - $250,000

*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
