Job Title: Vice President, Marketing – Food/MyRecipes 

About the Company:

Dotdash Meredith (DDM) has the largest and most iconic portfolio of food brands in the US, reaching and engaging over 70M+ consumers each month across our websites, including Allrecipes, Food & Wine, EatingWell, Serious Eats, Simply Recipes and more. We are launching new features and functionalities across our sites. We also recently launched MyRecipes.com, a unique digital offering where registered users can save and curate personalized recipe collections from across all of the DDM food and home brands. This is just the beginning of our next-generation digital food experience as we build out meal planning, shopping and so much more.

About the Role:

The Vice President of Marketing will spearhead the end-to-end marketing functions for MyRecipes and our digital food experiences, including consumer, product and lifecycle marketing functions. Reporting into the SVP, Group GM of Food, this executive will lead the consumer acquisition and retention efforts to scale MyRecipes and drive engagement across food brands. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving growth for sizable consumer digital products, particularly within the food and lifestyle sectors. The VP will partner closely with product, design, audience growth, editorial and social teams to develop, align and execute marketing strategies. 

  • Marketing Strategy Development:

    • Lead and own the development of comprehensive marketing strategies to acquire, engage and retain millions of MyRecipes users, working closely with the product, audience growth and food editorial teams.

    • Develop a flywheel strategy to drive engagement with recipes across all DDM food and home brands leading to new MyRecipes users and then continued reengagement back to the brand sites.

    • Align with senior leadership on aggressive KPI’s and revenue goals for MyRecipes.

    • Present short and long term marketing strategies, and provide regular status against all KPI’s to senior management, including c-suite executives.

  • Marketing Execution: 

    • Lead multi-channel acquisition strategies across MyRecipes, DDM food and home brands (including SEO, social, email and content marketing) and paid marketing.

    • Partner with product and audience growth teams to design lifecycle marketing strategies, including building a robust CRM strategy to deepen user engagement and increase personalization.

    • Partner with editorial teams to integrate marketing campaigns with content strategies.

  • Brand Development of MyRecipes: 

    • Define the brand positioning and build brand awareness for MyRecipes by developing compelling narratives, consistent messaging and engaging content that resonate with our target audience.

    • Collaborate with DDM food and home editorial leadership teams to align and execute MyRecipes branding and marketing.

    • Work with DDM food brand leadership to leverage strategic partnerships with influencers and culinary experts to drive user growth.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: 

    • Use various analytical tools and dashboards to monitor campaign performance, user behavior, engagement and associated revenue for key food related features and MyRecipes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

    • Work closely with the product, design, audience growth and editorial teams to align on the marketing strategy, coordinate marketing with feature and product enhancements, and execute marketing across DDM brands and channels for a seamless user experience across all touchpoints.

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 7 years in consumer marketing or growth-focused roles.

  • Proven track record in launching and scaling consumer digital products with measurable growth in DAUs/MAUs and revenue.

  • Expertise in user acquisition, performance marketing, and lifecycle marketing (including CRM and contact strategies) for consumer digital products.

  • Experience using a variety of digital marketing channels and tools, including organic and paid.

  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience using GoogleAnalytics, campaign performance tools etc.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with experience presenting to C-level executives.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

  • A visionary approach to brand storytelling and creative marketing .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and passion for food and related lifestyle experiences is highly desirable.

  • Experience with app based offerings

  • Experience with different monetization strategies, including ad and subscription supported offerings.
