The Bank of New York Mellon seeks Vice President, Release Train Engineer II in New York, NY, to analyze project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Perform Agile Program Management, Agile tools and methodologies, Change Management, DevOps Practices, Facilitation, Lean Methodology, Lean User Experience, Risk Management, and Value Realization. Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems. Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables. Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Identify the need for initial or supplemental project resources. Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments. Help manage risk and drive relentless improvement. Facilitate process and execution. Develop and manage annual budgets for information technology projects. Establish and execute a project communication plan. Develop and manage the work breakdown structure (WBS) of information technology projects. Escalate impediments, manage risk, help ensure value delivery, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Aggregate Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives. Escalate and track impediments. Ensure strategy and execution alignment. Help manage risks and dependencies and report status. Drive continuous improvement and continuous integration. Facilitate development events and processes and assist in delivering value.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation. Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Performing technical Project Management, Delivery Management, and Agile implementation using JIRA project management tool and finance reporting. Facilitating AGILE release train events which include program increment planning, system demonstration, and quarterly planning. Maintaining and executing the deliverables in T Pro and JIRA tool, and using JIRA query management for project reports. Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes that will increase the software release management effectiveness and efficiency. Reviewing existing systems configurations and operating methodologies, as well as understanding evolving business needs, and implementing projects from pre-discovery phases until going live, including project planning, budgeting, resource management, and post-engagement practice including usage of Gantt Charts, and PowerPoint, Publisher, OneDrive, and OneNote Microsoft tools.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $165,250.00 - $179,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 

This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify the base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
