Business Overview

Our Clients & Strategy team covers Business Development, Investor Relations, External Relations, Sustainable Investment and Brand, Marketing & Communications, including Internal Communications.

It is responsible for all communications to investor prospects, existing investors and their asset consultants, as well as a broad range of other stakeholders, including governments and media.


The Role

The Vice President, RFx, North America is responsible for the execution, quality, and commercial impact of all RFx activity across the North America region. This role leads the North America RFx team and acts as the senior regional point of accountability for RFx delivery, ensuring that IFM produces timely, accurate, and compelling submissions that support fundraising, consultant engagement, and client retention.


The role combines hands-on ownership of complex RFx submissions with leadership of the regional RFx operating model. It requires a pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset in a high-volume, time-critical environment, where competing priorities and tight deadlines are the norm. The VP ensures that work is appropriately prioritized, resources are deployed effectively, and outcomes are delivered to a high standard despite operational complexity. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end quality execution of all RFx activity in North America, including RFx, DDQs, consultant questionnaires, client information requests, industry surveys, and external databases.
  • Lead, prepare, and review complex and high-value RFx submissions, using existing content while coordinating with subject matter experts to produce tailored, high-quality responses. Act as a trusted point of contact for high-priority or complex RFx opportunities in the region.
  • Ensure all submissions are accurate, compliant, persuasive, and delivered on time.
  • Manage prioritization, capacity, and workflow across the North America RFx team to ensure that the most commercially important deliverables are worked on at the right time.
  • Serve as the primary RFx partner to North America Global Client Solutions, investment teams, and consultants.
  • Translate investment strategies and product positioning into compelling RFx narratives for institutional clients and consultants. Ensure Loopio is kept up to date and accurate. 
  • Implement and operate within the global RFx strategy, standards, and processes set by the Director, Global RFx.
  • Ensure North America deliverables are consistent with global content, messaging, and governance while appropriately reflecting local market requirements.
  • Ensure disciplined use of the centralized content library and RFx systems to drive consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve turnaround times, reduce rework, and enhance win rates through better use of tools and data.

 

Strategic Planning

  • Implement and operate within the global RFx strategy, standards, and processes set by the Director, Global RFx.

 

Business Performance

  • Drive innovation in RFx processes and platforms, embedding automation, data insights, and cross functional collaboration to improve speed, consistency, and win rates
  • Ensure North America RFx efforts reflect global standards while responding to local market nuances
  • Facilitate complex or high-priority RFPs
  • Facilitate complex or high-priority RFPs
  • Define and track North America KPIs, including win rates, turnaround times, and content usage
     

Policy and Process Management

  • Provide oversight for consultant and third-party database management
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards across multiple region
  • Assist with the governance of a centralized content library, ensuring accuracy and relevance

 

Your Background and Experience

  • 5-10 years in a client-facing function in an asset manager
  • 5 plus years in an RFx function
  • Management of 3rd party vendors to create a partnership ethos
  • Bachelors degree
  • Industry-specific qualification, e.g. IMC, CAIA, CFA or FINRA Series licenses preferred but not necessary 
  • Private markets asset classes exposure a positive but not necessary
  • Regulatory regimes in North America and their impact on RFx production processes
  • Impact of emerging technologies on the RFx production process
  • Database functionality and client reach
  • Superior written communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail allied to an ability to discern and construct a strategic narrative 
  • People management experience
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Exact compensation amount may vary and will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skills and qualifications. Total compensation for this role includes eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

 

$233,000 - $275,000
