For more than 40 years, our industry insider approach to bespoke research has supported clients across a focused set of specialized markets and disciplines. Armed with intelligence that is simply unavailable elsewhere, our teams craft practical, agile, and actionable strategies that enable clients to make bold, high-confidence decisions - often at moments that matter most.

Kaiser Associates is expanding its Private Equity Practice and seeking an accomplished and entrepreneurial Vice President (VP) to join our senior leadership team. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned consultant with deep experience advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies across the full investment lifecycle.

The VP will leverage Kaiser’s proprietary research, primary diligence capabilities, and deep sector expertise to advise leading private equity sponsors and investment teams. Our work spans commercial due diligence, market and growth strategy, value creation planning, portfolio strategy, exit readiness, and post-acquisition growth initiatives.

This role offers a distinctive opportunity for an individual with a strong track record of building trusted relationships with PE clients, leading complex engagements, and driving repeat business. The position includes a clear and accelerated path to Partner for individuals who demonstrate sustained commercial impact, leadership, and firm-building contributions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow Kaiser Associates’ Private Equity practice by delivering high-value strategic support across diligence, value creation, portfolio strategy, and growth acceleration initiatives.

  • Serve as a senior advisor to private equity firms and portfolio company executives, providing actionable insights that inform investment decisions and drive enterprise value.

  • Contribute meaningfully to firm growth by originating and expanding client relationships, with an annual revenue target of $1.5M+ through new and follow-on engagements.

  • Develop and execute a disciplined business development strategy focused on deepening relationships with existing PE clients while expanding Kaiser’s footprint with new sponsors.

  • Provide thought leadership within the Private Equity practice, shaping new offerings, methodologies, and points of view aligned to evolving PE investor needs.

  • Oversee engagement delivery and profitability, ensuring high-quality outcomes, strong client satisfaction, and efficient execution across multiple concurrent projects.

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing consulting teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional development.

  • Contribute to the development of Kaiser’s intellectual capital, helping to position the firm as a trusted strategic partner to the private equity community.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of strategy consulting experience, with significant exposure to private equity clients and investment-related work (e.g., diligence, value creation, growth strategy).

  • Demonstrated success originating and managing consulting revenue of $1.5M+ annually within a management consulting or advisory environment.

  • Established relationships and credibility within the private equity ecosystem (sponsors, operating partners, portfolio leadership).

  • Strong executive presence with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage senior client relationships, and navigate complex stakeholder environments.

  • Strategic thinker with a strong bias toward practical execution and impact.

  • Track record of balancing business development, client delivery, team leadership, and operational responsibilities.

  • Fluency in a foreign language is a plus but not required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

If you’re looking to play a senior leadership role in a growing Private Equity practice with real ownership, influence, and a clear path to Partner, we encourage you to apply.
