Job Description:
This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, providing feedback and hands on career development, identifying emerging talent, fostering leadership skills, and managing stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex requirements to accomplish business goals through software development in Quartz platform.

  • Ensure solutions are well designed with maintainability / ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset.

  • Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story / requirement through the delivery lifecycle for Quartz, BRISK and Remote Risk Aggregator software stacks.

  • Perform spike / proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.

  • Code solutions and unit testing to deliver a requirement / story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.

  • Design, develop, modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).

  • Set up and develop a continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline.

  • Design and develop solution architectures for backend systems based upon Python at multi-million line-of-code scale.

  • Utilize Front-Office derivatives trading risk knowledge, including Commodities, Interest Rates, FX and Equities trading to expand the current implementation and build new functionality that the traders require in order to efficiently and accurately manage their risk.

  • Design and implement systems that process, aggregate and expose real time data streams, at scales of multi-terabytes per day.

  • Design and develop Commodity trader risk systems, using efficiency techniques of optimizing the run time of the risk stack, developing grid distribution strategies to allocate work and use the business and technology knowledge to detect redundant steps in the current and proposed algorithms for producing real-time risk across multiple simultaneous points-in-time.

  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related: and

  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.

  • Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Designing and developing solution architectures for backend systems based upon Python at multi-million line-of-code scale;

  • Utilizing Front-Office derivatives trading risk knowledge, including Commodities, Interest Rates, FX and Equities trading to expand the current implementation and build new functionality that the traders require in order to efficiently and accurately manage their risk;

Pay and benefits information

Pay range$230,000.00 - $240,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
