About the Role
Brand at GlossGenius is undertaking a challenging task: creating a visual identity that seamlessly fits both high-growth software environments and appointment-based service businesses, making both feel natural and integrated. As an Associate Creative Director, you'll own creative execution across brand marketing, web, performance, art direction, and video, while playing a direct role in shaping where the brand goes next. This isn't a role where you inherit a finished system; you'll be the one building and evolving it. The pace is real, the bar is high, and the decisions you make will show up everywhere our customers and prospects encounter us.
You will report to the Creative Director. You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters and will operate in a hybrid environment. We default to being in-office 3–4 days per week with required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What You'll Do
- Own creative execution across brand marketing, web, performance, event design, art direction of photography and illustration, and video, from concept through delivery
- Build and evolve brand and visual identity systems that are scalable, consistent, and strong enough to work across every channel we operate in
- Leverage AI-powered design tools to build creative workflows that weren't previously possible, not just to move faster, but to push output quality to a level that resets the bar
- Translate business objectives and campaign briefs into high-quality visual assets for digital and physical touchpoints, without losing the brand point of view in the handoff
- Direct motion and video with a sharp editorial eye, ensuring moving-image work holds the same craft standard as static brand work
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Performance, Product, and Events teams to deliver creative that's cohesive across every touchpoint a customer encounters
- Raise the quality bar consistently, maintaining pixel-perfect attention to detail while operating at the pace the business requires
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in branding and visual design, with a portfolio that demonstrates ownership of brand systems across in-house and/or agency environments
- You use AI tools to explore concepts faster, pressure-test visual directions, and push output quality, and you have a clear point of view on where AI augments craft and where it doesn't
- Default to making creative decisions and moving: prefer showing tangible work to stakeholders and iterating over prolonged concepting
- Expert-level command of Figma, and current on modern design tooling, trends, and best practices across digital and physical channels
- Deep understanding of design systems and how to apply them consistently at scale across brand, web, performance, and events
- Exceptional eye for typography, color, layout, and overall visual craft: you raise the quality bar on everything you touch
- Proficiency in Jitter, After Effects, or similar motion tools is a strong plus
Benefits & Perks
- Competitive health & dental insurance options, effective on your first day of employment
- Flexible PTO
- In-office lunch twice per week for NYC and SF employees, plus late night dinner stipends
- Access to Wellhub, a corporate wellness platform with discounted gym memberships, fitness classes, and mental health resources
- Annual stipend for professional development and continued learning
- High performers at 5 years receive a generous stipend to use however you recharge best
- 401k benefit: employees are eligible to contribute starting day 1 of employment
- Dependent Care FSA
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and adoption benefits via Carrot and Kindbody
