Job Description:
dentsu is seeking a VP, Integrated Media Planning, responsible for developing a high-performing team and providing guidance on client and media planning strategy. You will oversee the entire planning process for dedicated client groups and collaborate with trafficking, media operations and media buying teams to achieve client goals. This role is critical in enforcing and providing input into the overall media planning direction as well as overseeing the quality standards of the team’s planning strategy and execution. You will report to the SVP, Planning. This role is hybrid, preferably based in New York, though we are open to Chicago as well.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for outputs and the development of media strategy & plans for clients; goal to improve campaign processes and achieve client goals across the board.
Provide insight and thought leadership that effectively translates brand marketing objectives into succinct media strategies, leveraging insights from research, campaign data and marketplace trends.
Assist senior leads in preparing reporting documentation for clients, demonstrating the strategy and rationale executed to deliver on campaign goals.
Coach team (~ 9 people) to develop planning strategies that maximize media dollars and media efficiency; build foundational knowledge of planning with full team.
Grow the sophistication of the team’s media knowledge, with specific focus on data fluency and storytelling.
Identify development areas in team members to help achieve and drive their performance goals for the year.
Support planning and investment teams throughout campaign activation process to maintain performance and resolve any campaign-related issues.
Drive employee retention by providing feedback to the Leadership and HR team to help retain top talent.
Facilitate the implementation of quality control processes and systems across teams.
Qualifications:
10+ years of media planning experience focused on All Media Channels and a minimum of 3-years’ experience leading a team.
Experience managing complex team structures, multiple client responsibilities and large internal teams
Influential senior people leader with the ability to lead, coach, develop and retain top talent while addressing performance.
Subject matter expert in developing media planning strategies that meet and exceed client campaign goals and objectives.
Deep understanding of media marketplace including perspective and experience with brand-building
Advanced knowledge of Media Planning and Research Tools
Ability to instill confidence and manage expectations with internal and external stakeholders.
Advanced analytical skills and proficient with numbers and budgets to illustrate client business objectives.
Strong negotiation, presentation and people skills.
Must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.

Additional Information:
The annual salary range for this position is $113,000-$182,850. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.

Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.
