About PayZen

PayZen is on a mission to bring financial health to healthcare. Our products improve both access and affordability for patients and cash flow & administrative complexity for medical providers. We have massively grown our health system footprint and revenue, establishing ourselves as the dominant player in our industry, with accelerating momentum and partnerships with several of the nation’s most prominent health systems. We are backed by leading venture capital investors, including NEA, SignalFire, Viola Group, and 7Wire Ventures.

About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented VP of National Accounts to expand PayZen’s footprint with the largest national health systems. This role will own complex, high-value enterprise relationships end-to-end – from pipeline development through multi-stakeholder negotiation and close.

The right individual has a proven track record of closing multi-million-dollar technology deals with large health systems and a strong network across health system finance and revenue cycle leaders. We are looking for a leader who is comfortable in a high-growth environment and passionate about understanding customer needs and solving them through technology. This is an opportunity to contribute to the growth of a platform that is improving access to healthcare and patients’ lives in the United States.

In this role, you will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and Co-founder, and work closely with the CEO, board, go-to-market leadership, legal, and product. This is a US-based role with frequent travel to industry conferences and health system clients, as well as periodic travel to PayZen’s San Francisco headquarters.

Responsibilities
  • Own and drive PayZen’s strategy with the top 30 largest national health systems to achieve ambitious sales and revenue growth targets.

  • Build and deepen relationships with C-level and SVP/VP leaders across the top 30 health system finance and revenue cycle organizations.

  • Lead the entire sales cycle from initial opportunity creation to outcome realization, including prospecting, discovery, solution development and presentation, procurement and legal navigation, and closing.

  • Establish PayZen as a strategic partner and thought leader in the patient revenue cycle by understanding health system priorities and challenges, and sharing best-practice solutions leveraging PayZen’s product suite and data assets.

  • Orchestrate large, complex deals by bringing the full strength of PayZen to bear, including senior leadership, board members, strategic partners, and existing customers.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align solution design, pricing, contracting, and legal with internal teams.

  • Inform PayZen’s strategy and product roadmap through market insights.

  • Represent PayZen externally at industry events.

Requirements
  • Proven success in closing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals with ACVs of $5M+ and navigating large health systems’ procurement processes.

  • 8+ years of strategic sales experience selling technology solutions to health system finance and revenue cycle leaders.

  • Mastery of a highly consultative, structured, value-based sales process.

  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Experience selling to C-suite and senior leadership in large, matrixed organizations.

  • Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally with product, legal, finance, marketing, and operations to close and implement major accounts.

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 60% to meet prospects, customers, and partners.

  • Growth mindset, curiosity about technology and AI, and a mission-first mentality.
