We are seeking an accomplished VP R&D to lead our global software development teams, while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from planning and design through deployment and maintenance.
- Lead , mentor, and scale high-performing global teams of software engineers, QA and DevOps (30+ people)
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices.
- Partner with Product Management to translate business needs into executable development plans.
- Drive on-time, on-budget delivery of software products and platform enhancements.
- Implement processes and KPIs that ensure predictability, quality, and performance in development.
- Balance technical debt reduction with rapid delivery of new features.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging development and AI technologies to keep the organization competitive.
- Champion adoption of tools and processes that improve velocity and quality.
- Encourage an engineering mindset focused on building products for long-term sustainability and customer satisfaction.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven track record of scaling and managing, global distributed software engineering teams.
- Expertise in modern software development practices and tools, including AI.
- Business acumen with the ability to align technology execution with company objectives.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with .Net technologies and AWS – an advantage
- Experience in the telecommunications domain - an advantage.
