The VP, Sales Strategy & Operations will oversee GreenSlate’s Sales and Revenue Operations teams under the direction of the Chief Sales Officer, working closely with the CEO on go-to-market execution. This role requires a leader skilled at managing and optimizing complex, long-cycle sales processes; building strong, collaborative partnerships with Marketing and Client Success; and holding teams accountable for achieving ambitious targets.
The VP is responsible for driving the sales team to meet company goals, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, recruiting and developing top talent, managing performance, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. Success in this role means establishing a culture of accountability, improving pipeline discipline and forecast accuracy, and delivering measurable improvements in conversion rates and deal velocity—while fostering cross-functional alignment to support GreenSlate’s growth objectives.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU- Build and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of high accountability and collaboration to achieve targets and revenue growth
- Recruit, onboard and develop top-tier sales talent, ensuring each team member has a clear growth path and regular performance feedback; provide ongoing coaching and mentorship
- Drive change management initiatives to embed best practices and mindset across the sales organization
- Champion cross-functional collaboration with Client Success, Product Management, Marketing and other internal teams to ensure a unified approach to customer engagement and retention
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Partner with the CSO to develop and implement sales strategies to set aggressive yet achievable revenue targets and quotas to achieve company goals.
- Develop and implement effective commission structures and incentive programs to motivate performance and drive desired behaviors
- Analyze sales data and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Develop a strong understanding of the market, customer personas and competitive landscape that informs the strategic direction of the company and proactively adjust sales tactics to maintain a competitive edge
- Understand the pricing dynamics of the market and work with the CFO to refine and develop additional tools the sales team can utilize in securing business
- Own and manage the sales budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources to maximize ROI and support growth initiatives across regions and segments
Revenue Operations & Enablement:
- Develop and implement scalable sales processes that increase efficiencies and results across the team; this includes analyzing current sales workflows to identify gaps and lead initiatives to streamline operations
- Focus on Sales Enablement; ensure the team has the proper resources and training to effectively engage with qualified buyers
- Lead Revenue Operations function; define and ensure tracking of key sales metrics and KPIs ensuring visibility into pipeline health and revenue growth. Analyze data generated and make suggestions for process improvement.
- Collaborate with Marketing to align on lead generation and conversion strategies, and content being used for campaigns and outreach; manage and maintain the sales materials library to ensure the latest versions are available, and communicate changes and updates to the team.
- Oversee the development and implementation of lead research strategies, equipping the sales team with actionable insights to improve targeting and conversion rates
WHO YOU ARE
- Experience: 10+ years in sales with 5+ in sales team management. Experience in Entertainment Industry sales or software sales is preferred.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Strong ability to motivate, coach, and lead a team. Experience working with a distributed and remote team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise within the sales process.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record of success in sales and a strong understanding of sales techniques.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient operations.
- Presentation Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to develop compelling presentations to deliver information clearly and persuasively to C-level decision makers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 10 Weeks per year

SALARY RANGE:
$300-350K OTE
