Who We Are:

Taiv is a fast-growing tech startup located in Winnipeg, Canada. Taiv uses AI to make business TV more fun, engaging, profitable, and easier to manage, starting with bars and restaurants. We've built proprietary tech that uses computer vision to watch live TV and improve the content with contextually-aware commercials, content, and games. Our tech also automates the manual AV tasks that venues have to do every day, to make bar management easier, standardized, and more profitable. We're venture-capital backed and graduated from Y Combinator, the world's top tech accelerator, in winter 2020. Program alumni include Airbnb, Instacart, DoorDash, etc. (www.ycombinator.com/topcompanies).

We are looking for a Senior Director/VP National Ad Sales to join our sales team!

What We're Looking For:

We're bringing national advertising to Taiv, and we need a senior sales leader to build it. You'll sell a technically complex ad product against live sports in bars and restaurants across the country, working relationships across the media buying world, especially in digital and video. This is a hunter role with a lot of room to grow as we scale: you'll help build and lead the ad business from the ground up.

Who You Are:
  • You have deep experience selling national media, especially linear TV or video.

  • You're relentlessly proactive in outreach and follow-up, and you show up every day ready to hunt for new business.

  • You've sold complex or early-stage products before and know how to win trust when brand recognition is low.

  • You're deeply connected in the U.S. agency world and can get meetings with top media buyers.

  • You work independently and enjoy solving problems that don't have a clear playbook yet.

  • You have a track record of exceeding sales targets and generating meaningful revenue.

Your Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in national ad sales

  • Strong network with agency and brand-side digital/video buyers

  • Experience selling non-traditional or startup advertising solutions

  • Based in New York or Chicago (or willing to relocate)

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Perks:
  • Employee stock options

  • 100% employer-covered health benefits

  • Flex-time & unlimited paid vacation

  • Hybrid work model

Job Details:
  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 USD base salary + commission + equity. Further breakdown on compensation takes place during the interview process.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

  • Based in New York, NY or Chicago, IL(required)
