  • Guide quarterly Subchapter M diversification and gross-income testing and work with Fund Administration, portfolio teams, and other stakeholders to address potential compliance issues.
  • Serve as a senior contact for client tax questions and participate in prospective client discussions when needed.
  • Improve review controls, procedures, technology, and training so tax services remain accurate and scalable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least seven years of investment company or fund tax experience, including substantial hands-on experience with RIC tax returns, excise tax, distributions, and Subchapter M compliance.

  • Strong organization and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple funds.

Preferred qualifications

  • Direct experience with ETF tax operations, including in-kind creations and redemptions and the tax treatment of complex investments.
  • CPA or master’s degree in taxation.
  • Experience improving tax processes, controls, and systems in a growing fund administration environment.
