Director of Community Experience
Meetup's Community Experience team is a diverse, creative group that knows every nook and cranny of Meetup, and they use that knowledge to coach and support Meetup members around the world. To keep the Meetup ecosystem humming, the team trades more than 18,000 emails with members each month: they answer questions, offer advice, hunt down defects, and reinforce Meetup's Community Guidelines. They review new Meetup groups, assess trust and safety reports, and share product feedback with Meetup's Product Managers.
They're a large, passionate, and ambitious team, and they need a dynamic leader to help them continue to drive for success.
As the Director of Community Experience, you'll lead our Support and Integrity teams, defining and executing the vision for ensuring that people around the world get the problem solving support that they need to continue meeting up. Your primary responsibility will be to enable Meetup to grow at a faster rate by scaling out our current Community Experience structure and operations.
Requirements:
- 7+ years leading large (25+), customer facing teams
- A passion for Meetup's community and its mission
- Unyielding customer focus
- Experience scaling operations to support users during high growth periods
- Background in creating and/or enforcing complex community policy
- Excited about managing change and inspiring the people who work for you
- Strong strategic, quantitative, written, and interpersonal skills
