That’s according to Shirli Guy-Man, senior director of total rewards and HR operations. Her team looks closely at real-world utilization patterns to see what is truly moving the needle for their team while searching for ways to amplify highly valued programs and pivoting to address new needs when they arise.

What Does Riskified Do?

Riskified’s AI-powered fraud and risk intelligence platform analyzes the individual behind each interaction to provide real-time decisions and robust identity-based insights.

“This agile, feedback-driven process ensures our benefits never remain stagnant and consistently reflect the evolving needs of our global workforce,” Guy-Man said.

Riskified takes a holistic approach to employee well-being, offering a benefits package that encompasses both mental and physical health. This includes perks like employer-paid dental and vision insurance, personalized mental health support through the Sequoia People Platform and employer matching for health savings accounts.

But it’s not just about taking care of employees outside of work. Shirli Guy-Man said the company also ensures its people can build connections with one another by offering initiatives such as its annual “Step It Up” Challenge. This week-long event enables employees around the world to compete for the highest average step count while sharing photos and cheering each other on over Slack.

How Riskified’s Benefits Impact Employees

How does your benefits package support mental or physical well-being?

Our benefits philosophy is anchored in a holistic approach to human well-being. We know that an employee cannot thrive professionally if they are struggling personally, which is why our program treats mental and physical health as equally vital pillars of well-being. Physically, we remove financial friction by fully sponsoring robust dental and vision plans and providing premier medical choices. Mentally, we provide an immediate safety net through our providers, delivering personalized health roadmaps, professional coaching and clinical therapy to employees and their dependents. Our ecosystem is designed to be proactive rather than just reactive. We aim to equip our people with the tools, resources and support networks they need to navigate life’s challenges smoothly, so they feel secure, healthy and empowered both at work and at home.

Which benefit has the highest employee-satisfaction rating, in your opinion, and why?

Without a doubt, our comprehensive healthcare program consistently achieves the highest employee satisfaction and enrollment rates. At Riskified, we believe top-tier talent deserves top-tier peace of mind. We cover the majority of premium costs for employees and their dependents, making our plans incredibly competitive in the market. A major driver of this satisfaction is our accessible tier-structured pricing, such as our premier medical plan.

Furthermore, we remove the financial barrier to essential care by ensuring that both our Guardian Dental Basic and Guardian Vision plans are 100 percent employer-paid. Participation is exceptionally strong, with virtually all eligible employees enrolling and many extending coverage to their families. The feedback we receive is positive because employees recognize the tangible value, the breadth of services and the deep financial support Riskified provides to keep them and their loved ones secure.

What wellness resources do employees use most?

Our employees actively utilize resources that support a holistic, 360-degree approach to well-being, spanning physical health and mental resilience. On the physical side, there is strong engagement with our premium medical, vision and dental programs, which kick off on an employee’s first day of employment. Equally vital is our mental health ecosystem. Through our partnership with the Sequoia People Platform, an all-in-one HR and total rewards platform that centralizes employee benefits, compensation and people data, employees and their dependents have seamless access to personalized mental health support via our providers. These platforms offer tailored counseling, therapy and coaching. We also see online utilization through our insurance company, which gives our team flexible, virtual access to medical and behavioral health professionals whenever they need it. By providing convenient, free access to quality clinical care and personalized mental health support, we ensure our workforce feels genuinely supported through all of life’s transitions.

How have you seen employees leverage Riskified’s benefits?

Our core healthcare programs. Beyond standard medical coverage, we also fully fund basic life and AD&D insurance and offer deeply appreciated perks like pet insurance. But total rewards at Riskified extend far beyond traditional insurance. Through the Sequoia platform, our team members actively engage with lifestyle and wellness resources, taking advantage of corporate discounts for gym memberships, fitness, travel and childcare services.

One of our favorite company traditions is our annual global “Step It Up” Challenge. For one high-energy week, employees from all of our sites across the globe — starting in the United States, Mexico and Brazil, moving through Portugal and Israel, and stretching over to Singapore, China, Japan and Australia — are grouped into random, cross-site teams. It’s a massive global effort to move together, connect across time zones and compete for the highest average step count. During the challenge, our dedicated Slack channels come alive. Teammates worldwide are incredibly active, sharing photos from their morning runs or power workouts, cheering each other on and driving a healthy dose of friendly global competition.

Unique Wellness and Financial Perks at Riskified

A standout financial wellness perk we offer is our aggressive employer matching for the health savings account. This is entirely tax-free money that employees can use for medical expenses or invest to grow tax-free for the future. It’s a level of direct financial empowerment that goes way beyond standard market offerings. We also offer wellness recharge weekends, where the entire organization shuts down to give all employees a four-day weekend. These initiatives are built to ensure everyone can genuinely disconnect at the exact same time, eliminating the usual anxiety of returning to a flooded inbox. It’s a powerful differentiator that shows wellness isn’t just a corporate buzzword for us; it’s woven into our operational calendar.

How Riskified Reviews and Updates Its Benefits Package

We review our benefits comprehensively on an annual basis as part of our structured compensation and planning cycle. We partner closely with external benchmarks to evaluate our offerings against the broader tech landscape, ensuring we always maintain a competitive edge. However, data is only half the story. The true “North Star” for our benefits evolution is direct employee feedback and satisfaction surveys. We look closely at real-world utilization patterns to see what is truly moving the needle for our team. If a specific program is highly valued, we look for ways to amplify it; if a new need emerges, we pivot to address it. This agile, feedback-driven process ensures our benefits never remain stagnant and consistently reflect the evolving needs of our global workforce.
