Legora, an agentic operating system for legal work, announced it raised a $550 million Series E round at an $8.8 billion post-money valuation. Led by Atreides Management, the capital raise will help fuel Legora’s expansion as legal teams increasingly adopt AI agents that carry out multi-step work.

The company’s solutions serve more than 140,000 legal professionals at more than 2,400 law firms and in-house legal teams across over 80 markets. Its new capital will support further expansion across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Legora will also invest in adding new capabilities to its operating system for lawyers and agents, the Legora aOS. Upcoming products include tools for agentic intake, horizon scanning and legal research.

“The opportunity in legal is enormous and we are still early,” Max Junestrand, Legora’s co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “AI is changing the role of the lawyer, with more time for judgment and advice, and it is reshaping how law firms and in-house legal teams are organized and how their work gets done. We intend to lead that shift in the U.S. and globally.”
