These 5 NYC Companies Raised $710M Total in July

In July, New York City’s biggest five funding rounds accounted for a whopping $710 million combined. UiPath took the top position with a $225 million Series E raise. Below, you can read about each of this month’s biggest equity rounds.


#4. $85 million, July 22

The company battles food waste with an “ugly” produce service. Valor Equity led the Series B round. Misfits Market said that demand for its service has grown 400 percent in the last three months, likely due to the pandemic.


#3 (tied). $100 million, July 23

The company’s platform lets clients create graphics and websites without having to write any code. Sumeru Equity Partners led the round. With the funds, Ceros said it plans to continue international growth and make strategic acquisitions.

The startup provides prescription delivery and pharmacy support. Volition Capital and Greycroft led the Series B round. With the funds, Medly said it will expand its platform, enter new markets and develop new services.


#2. $200 million, July 27

The online health provider began as a company for men experiencing issues like hair loss and erectile dysfunction. With the Series C raise, Ro said it wants to start offering remote patient monitoring for chronic disease management, urgent care and even at-home testing, eventually. It also plans to hire around 70 people during the next six months.


#1. $225 million, July 13

UiPath wants to use robotic process automation to make work easier. This Series E round brought the startup’s funds raised to a whopping $1.2 billion total. It plans to use the funds to continue growing its team, invest in AI-powered innovation and more.
