Spring Health, a mental health platform for employers and health plans, announced its acquisition of Alma, a company that enables independent mental health clinicians to accept insurance. The move combines Spring Health’s tech and specialty care capabilities with Alma’s national health plan relationships and provider infrastructure.

Alma’s membership-based platform has helped clinicians care for over 120 million lives, leveraging contracts with national payers and several regional plans to simplify access to quality and affordable mental health care. Spring Health’s platform supports more than 50 million lives through employers and health plan benefits. Integrating Alma allows Spring Health to extend the reach of its AI-enabled capabilities.

Following the acquisition, which is projected to close in the second quarter of 2026, Spring Health and Alma will both retain their respective CEOs. Both companies will continue to serve their existing customer bases while sharing innovation, resources and technology. The combined entity will focus on personalizing care for individuals, reducing administrative burden for clinicians and creating value for employers and health plans.
