What's It Like to Work at Current?

Being part of Current has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally, with work that has kept me challenged while also being extraordinarily rewarding. Our team and passion for what we’re building are key reasons that I love being here.

The importance of user experience and design was key in my decision to join Current. In an industry without off-the-shelf design standards or components, every feature is a unique and exciting challenge.

I like working at Current because we have a friendly and collaborative work environment. Our well being and professional growth are cared about and we are given the tools to succeed.

The best thing about Current is its people. I get to work with some of the smartest and kindest people I've ever met. Together, we work to solve interesting and complex problems that have a real impact on people's lives.

The Engineering team actively and immediately shares our individual successes across our slack channels, telling everyone what we did and the impact we had via data. I find it refreshing and really cool that we are able to measure the success of our initiatives with data that is accessible to everyone.

My team and I work to ensure that critical components of our existing infrastructure are well-tested, reliable, and scalable. But on top of that, we get the fun job of building out new infrastructure. It’s this forward-looking aspect that is especially exciting to me, because it opens up new paths for Current as we continue to expand.

One of the best aspects of Member Experience at Current is that we don’t just serve members when they need help, but also bring their feedback to the broader team. This allows us to hear from actual people using Current and understand their needs, enabling us to build products that improve their lives.

The vibe in our office is very relaxed and friendly. It’s not your typical suit and tie environment. I enjoy the open style that we have because it works well with our collaborative approach to get things done efficiently while inviting casual conversations with my teammates.
