The Senior Principal Engineer will lead the development of ML systems at SoundCloud, focusing on recommendation and personalization techniques while mentoring engineers and driving strategic direction.

Build and scale fan-facing Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Collaborate with product, design, and data across international teams, use AI tools to accelerate development, participate in A/B testing and analytics, and uphold performance, accessibility, and engineering best practices.

Build and scale fan-facing iOS features using Swift and SwiftUI. Collaborate with product, design, and data across international teams, use AI tools to accelerate development, participate in A/B testing and analytics, and maintain high standards for performance, accessibility, and code quality.

Design, build, and maintain desktop and mobile web features to drive fan engagement and creator support. Lead technical design, architecture, and web performance improvements, debug cross-browser issues, ensure accessibility and testing best practices, and collaborate with global product and engineering teams while leveraging AI tools to accelerate development.

Provide high-touch executive support to the COO & CTO: manage complex calendars and travel, coordinate cross-time-zone meetings, prepare agendas and notes, track action items, own quarterly board logistics and materials, partner with the Chief of Staff on strategic initiatives, maintain strict confidentiality, improve operational processes, and execute events and executive communications with polished professionalism.

Lead and scale SoundCloud's global programmatic advertising operations: manage partner integrations and relationships, troubleshoot delivery and reporting (including GAM), build documentation and playbooks, optimize yield and pricing, analyze performance with SQL and reporting tools, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve monetization across display, video, and audio formats.

Support monthly and annual close for distribution, premium artist, and advertising lines. Own revenue recognition, A/R, reconciliations between DSP reporting, royalties system and GL. Process invoices and payments, track advances/recoupments, maintain general ledger, and partner with FP&A and cross-functional teams on accounting projects.
