The Director of Research will lead the research agenda at SDF, fostering collaboration with academic and industry partners, overseeing research efforts, building a team, and translating research outcomes into practical impacts.

Design and build key components of Stellar Core, improve system performance, collaborate on architecture, and lead technical discussions.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and develop key components of Stellar Core, enhance blockchain technology, and collaborate with engineering teams.

Own end-to-end brand and content design across campaigns, product launches, and multi-channel marketing. Develop narrative-driven visual concepts, evolve the design system, manage production lifecycles and agency partners, lead high-visibility projects, and introduce scalable components and AI tools to improve creative output.

Lead product design across Stellar Development Foundation products as a player-coach: set design vision, contribute high-fidelity work, manage and mentor a designer, scale the design system, leverage AI-assisted workflows, partner with Product and Engineering, and run user research and usability testing.

Lead product strategy and roadmaps across Stellar network areas (core protocol, payments, DeFi, developer experience, AI agents). Rapidly validate ideas using AI-assisted prototypes, work closely with engineering and design, engage users and partners, and ship high-quality products while measuring impact.

Lead the business development team to grow Monthly Active Accounts and payment volume on the Stellar blockchain. Drive go-to-market strategies for payouts, wallet growth, stablecoins, DeFi, merchant onboarding, and verticals like international aid. Manage strategic relationships with payment service providers, coordinate regulatory and government relations support, run regional events, and own OKRs for account growth and payment volume.
