Job Overview

The Director of Merchandise Marketing will develop, communicate, and manage the OMNI merchant marketing strategy for each family of business, inclusive of homepages, emails, special projects, affiliate/search priorities, all paid digital media, and traditional media (IE print catalogues, direct mail, newspaper). In this highly collaborative role, the director partner with marketing channel owners, vendor partners, Fashion Office, Creative, Project Planning and Merchants on all marketing programs to drive our merchandise and enterprise priorities.

Essential Functions

  • Manage content strategy and placement
  • Manage cooperative collection strategy and budget. Raise Co-Op funding through vendor specific proposals. Negotiate and integrate vendor-funded cooperative marketing to support vendor performance
  • Strategically partner with GMM’s, DMM’s and merchants to support business priorities through marketing
  • Collaborate with internal teams to lead and influence division-level planning for email, owned media, display media, affiliate, social, SEO, SEM, influencer, and print marketing.
  • Analyze and recalibrate marketing type, message, and budget in-season to optimize performance.
  • Evaluate business and campaign KPI’s to help drive business.
  • Develop and coach direct reports

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree from 4-year college or university preferred
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically with a Negotiation skill set
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs


  • This role involves performing essential job functions such as communication, collaboration, and use of office and computer systems. Responsibilities include the ability to access and review written and electronic information, and to move within the work environment and interact with workplace materials as needed to carry out job responsibilities.
