SUMMARY

The Brooklyn Nets Group Sales team is comprised of hard-working, high motor professionals focused on driving value through group events to companies, organizations, and individuals in the tristate area. This department plays a pivotal role in one of the company’s missions: We Create Memories. Be part of the fun and fast-paced team behind every single cheer! 

The Account Executive, Group Sales is responsible for the sale of all Brooklyn Nets ticket inventory with a focus on group tickets. This position will also sell Nets memberships and single game suite rentals, with a focus on both consumer and business communities, while following up on inbound leads and prospecting via cold calls. Additionally, all Group Sales team members will have the ability to cross-sell other Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment assets as assigned, including other Barclays Center events. Successful individuals within our organization have the potential to grow and expand their career within our broader Sales functions and beyond. 

The Account Executive, Group Sales will report to the Manager of Group Sales. This role is expected to be onsite for a variety of events, including all Brooklyn Nets home games; this position is required to work hours on nights, holidays and weekends as needed. 


WHAT YOU’LL DO:  


  • Drive new business through proactive outbound prospecting, maximizing group sales opportunities across all market segments.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual revenue, outbound activity, and appointment goals established by Group Sales leadership.
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline by accurately tracking prospecting activity, opportunities, and forecasts in Salesforce.
  • Sell group ticket packages, hospitality, and premium experiences for the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, Barclays Center events, and BKSE Growth Properties.
  • Build relationships with businesses, schools, nonprofits, community organizations, and other group leaders to generate new revenue opportunities.
  • Attend Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty games to execute group experiences, entertain clients and prospects, and support game-night sales initiatives.
  • Represent Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment at Chamber of Commerce meetings, networking events, community functions, and other lead-generation opportunities.
  • Partner with internal departments to deliver exceptional client experiences before, during, and after each event.
  • Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives that support departmental and organizational goals.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • 1-3 years of experience working in sales, preferably either in ticket sales for a professional sports franchise
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully achieving revenue targets 
  • Outstanding customer service, excellent communication skills and a high level of energy 
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and conflict resolution skills  
  • Previous Salesforce experience is a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree required  

COMPENSATION

$21.63/hr - $26.45/hr

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however, is expected to attend games and events which may take place on weekends and holidays.
