Account Manager
Vox Media Group, LLC | New York, NY (Hybrid)

The Account Manager owns post-sale execution across all campaign types — digital media, programmatic, branded content, editorial sponsorships, experiential, social, and audio. The extension of the sales team once a deal closes: the person clients trust to protect their investment, the internal authority who keeps all teams aligned, and actively looking for the next opportunity to grow the account. Accountable for on-time, high-quality delivery. This role will collaborate with multiple teams with the media business, including ad operations, editorial, creative, legal, accounting, production teams. 


WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own the post-sale relationship

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and agencies from verbal through wrap and renewal, building the kind of trust that makes you a natural extension of the sales team in post-sale
  • Lead client communications and campaign execution via asset collection, proactive troubleshooting, reporting and performance
  • Feed historical insights into pre-sale strategy for returning clients

Run flawless execution

  • Manage a high-volume book of business spanning large, complex campaigns and smaller, fast-moving ones
  • Act as the internal authority on each client's campaign intricacies, advising operations, editorial, creative, and production teams
  • Remove blockers, enforce scope, and keep all campaign elements launching on time, minimizing revenue risk
  • Lead legal conversations on terms and usage rights
  • Support Revenue Accounting with billing actualization

Drive incremental revenue

  • Proactively identify and pitch upsell opportunities
  • Monitor performance and revenue risk in collaboration with AdOps, using strong results as the entry point for expansion conversations
  • Optimize campaigns to hit or exceed KPIs, since performance is your best upsell pitch

WHO YOU ARE

  • 2+ years executing high-volume digital advertising and/or podcast campaigns; agency or publisher experience preferred
  • A strategic thinker who connects Vox Media's product mix to client KPIs 
  • A proven communicator: clear under pressure, comfortable presenting performance to a room, skilled at turning client requests into next opportunities
  • Organized and capable of juggling multiple high-priority campaigns and tasks
  • Familiar with project management systems and order management systems preferred
  • Fundamental knowledge of Megaphone, Google Ad Manager (GAM), and Doubleclick Campaign Manager (DCM) preferred
  • Proactive, adaptive, and genuinely invested in Vox Media's editorial brands

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
