Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Partner with clients, agencies, and internal teams to understand business objectives and develop strategic advertising solutions using Hearst Magazines' full portfolio of brands and products.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Research, and cross-functional partners to support RFP responses, pre-sale planning, custom programs, and compelling client presentations.
  • Build accurate, effective media plans that achieve client KPIs, maximize revenue opportunities, maintain profitability, and align with company business rules.
  • Manage campaign execution from contract through launch by ensuring alignment across media plans, insertion orders, order management systems, and client requirements.
  • Lead campaign kick-off meetings, coordinate timelines and deliverables, and communicate campaign objectives clearly with post-sale teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor campaign performance throughout its lifecycle, partnering with internal teams to optimize delivery, manage revisions, and ensure campaigns launch and perform as sold.
  • Analyze campaign results and wrap reports to identify optimization opportunities, support renewals, and uncover potential upsell opportunities based on performance insights.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Hearst Magazines' advertising products, processes, and systems while proactively recommending process improvements that enhance the client experience and operational efficiency.

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 3+ years of experience in media planning, sales planning, account management, advertising strategy, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising products, campaign planning, and media execution.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across a diverse portfolio of accounts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build credibility and strong relationships with clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, Research, Campaign Management, and other internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate campaign performance into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with advertising platforms and business systems such as Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, Salesforce, or similar tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • This role is based in New York City and follows a hybrid work schedule.

The base salary range for this role is $76,000-$85,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
