Job Description

Coordinates diversified clerical duties related to the operational needs of the office/department.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinates diversified medical office front desk duties which may include, but are not limited to: Greeting and checking in patients; Verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information; Insurance verification of benefits and eligibility; Answering telephones, taking messages, and routing calls appropriately; Scheduling, confirming, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments; Maintaining provider schedules; Collecting copayments, balances, and other patient payments; Preparing and maintaining patient records; Scanning and filing patient documents; Assisting with patient forms and intake paperwork; Coordinating referrals and authorizations as directed; Communicating with patients, providers, and staff regarding front desk matters; Maintaining department/office files and records; Keeping inventory and ordering office supplies for the department/office; Supporting daily opening and closing front desk procedures;                                                                          
  • Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.

Job Qualification


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
