When you Join Verizon:

Verizon is one of the world’s leading providers of technology and communications services, transforming the way we connect across the globe. We’re a diverse network of people driven by our shared ambition to shape a better future. Here, we have the ability to learn and grow at the speed of technology, and the space to create within every role. Together, we are moving the world forward – and you can too. Dream it. Build it. Do it here.

What you’ll be doing:

Focusing on top-tier customer sourcing advisors, vertical influencers, and strategic consulting channels across the Verizon Business ecosystem, you will lead and own the end-to-end Advisor Relations strategy—driving market differentiation, shaping early-stage opportunities, and expanding our large-deal pipeline.

You will serve as a strategic bridge across advisor relations, field sales, marketing, and technical teams—shifting market perception of Verizon from a "pure connectivity provider" to a leading digital transformation and Managed Network Services (MNS) partner. Moving beyond traditional reactive RFP responses, you will build proactive, sole-source engagements with advisors, positioning Verizon early in deal planning cycles to ensure high-margin wins.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-End Strategy Ownership & Leadership: Lead, build, and execute the holistic Verizon Business Advisor Relations strategy. This includes establishing channel governance, defining tiering and coverage models for advisory firms, tracking channel performance metrics (invitation rates, win rates, sourced pipeline), and setting the strategic narrative to position Verizon as a preferred transformation partner across the global advisory ecosystem.
  • Proactive Deal Growth & Sole-Source Engagement: Drive proactive growth initiatives directly with key advisors to unlock sole-sourced, uncompetitive opportunities ($10M+ to $25M+ TCV) well ahead of formal RFP cycles. Engage advisors during client discovery phases to co-create transformation roadmaps and position Verizon as the default solution partner before specifications are locked.
  • Strategic Advisor & Vertical Domain Mapping: Systematically map, align, and build deep executive relationships with key sourcing advisors and non-network Vertical Domain Leaders (Manufacturing, Healthcare, Finance, Public Sector) across top-tier advisory firms.
  • Early Deal Shaping & Margin Protection: Partner directly with Field Sales during deal pursuits to influence RFP framing, align solutions with advisor frameworks, provide strategic pursuit coaching, and protect commercial margins early in the sales lifecycle.
  • Technical-to-Commercial Translation: Translate complex technical architectures (SD-WAN, SASE, NaaS, MNS) into compelling commercial and financial value propositions aligned with client CTO and CFO business outcomes.
  • Competitive Counter-Strategy & Market Perception: Defend and grow market share against competitor investments through regular executive briefings, capability workshops, and joint value-proposition sessions that highlight Verizon’s unique MNS value proposition.
  • Unified Messaging & Go-To-Market Alignment: Align advisor relations activities with Verizon’s Analyst Relations, Sales Enablement, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) teams to drive unified messaging, elevate thought leadership across the advisory community, and maximize channel leverage.

What we’re looking for:

You are a senior-level strategic leader with proven experience owning cross-functional GTM strategies and building trusted relationships at all levels of leadership. You excel at verbal and written communication, comfortably bridging conversations between technical architects, field sales teams, and C-suite decision-makers. You are an innovative, outside-in thinker who transforms advisor insights into actionable business strategy, sole-sourced deal flow, and sustained revenue growth.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience leading advisor relations or strategic partner strategy, with a proven track record of driving sole-sourced, proactive deal growth ($10M+ to $25M+ TCV).
  • Demonstrated experience mapping and building strategic relationships across tier-1 sourcing advisory firms and vertical domain leaders (e.g., Manufacturing, Healthcare, Finance, Public Sector).
  • Ability to structure and articulate complex technology platforms (SD-WAN, SASE, NaaS, MNS) into high-impact commercial and financial models for C-level executives (CTO/CFO).
  • Experience aligning advisor channels with marketing, analyst relations, and sales enablement programs.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Background working directly within or partnering closely with tier-1 management consulting or sourcing advisory organizations (e.g., ISG, Avasant, Wavestone, Everest Group).
  • Proven success developing channel governance, advisor coverage models, and performance tracking frameworks.
  • Strong experience coaching internal deal teams, senior leadership, and subject matter experts on advisor pursuit strategy and competitive RFP framing.

Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
