The Associate Customer Chef will support culinary innovation and ingredient work with third-party manufactures for finished ready to eat dessert/treat executions with both foodservice Quick-service Restaurant (QSR) customers and foodservice c-store retailers featuring Mondelēz core brands. The individual will also provide culinary R&D innovation support with licensed partners for retail branded & co-branded products for sale in retail channels generating both ingredient sales and royalties.
How you will contribute
You will:

  • Provide culinarian with experience in both QSR and FSR menu strategy and innovation
  • Develop strong working relationships with MDLZ Foodservice top strategic customers through rapport building, earning trust, and being the customer's "go to" culinary contact for menu categories specific to where MDLZ brands compete
  • Bring a JVC mindset to their work by acquiring and demonstrating deep knowledge of customer operations, menus, initiatives, goals, digital/social platforms, and growth objectives. Working primarily with QSR customer culinary/menu innovation R&D executives and third-party ingredient customer R&D teams
  • Attend conferences and provide operational support for product sampling
  • Networking with customers key partner chefs, building strong alliances, exploring new shard growth opportunities
  • Subject matter expert relative to MDLZ products, basic formulas, features and benefits
  • Collaborate and work with other MDLZ foodservice team members and cross-functional teams in a productive, professional, and thoughtful way
  • Act as the culinary expert/lead to help gain internal Mondelez brand and RD approvals for finished desserts made by third party-manufacturers

  • Ensuring seamless execution through advance planning, organization, thorough communication, and appropriate time management practices


Requirements

  • Culinary Degree with a minimum of 5 years + industry experience
  • Proven experience working with third party-manufactures and QSR partners to develop best-in-class finished desserts that represent our brands and flavor equities
  • Knowledge on current and future finished desserts trends and insights
  • Established culinary relationships with existing OSR customers and third party-manufacturers and potential strategic partners counterparts
  • Ability to bring problem solving & end to end thinking
  • Excellent working knowledge of all aspects of food manufacturing business including Operations, Purchasing, Quality Control, R&D, Packaging
  • Strong concise communicator
  • Candidate should possess an innovative nature and a sense of urgency with respect to project management and completion
  • Candidate should be comfortable when working with the highest levels of corporate management and display excellent interpersonal skills in all interactions
  • New thinker, innovator who is not afraid to take risks
  • Ability to travel up to 40-50%
  • Location for the position is in either New Jersey or Atlanta, GA area
