You own full-cycle recruiting for a set of assigned requisitions, from first sourcing touch through offer stage, and act as the day-to-day point of contact for hiring managers on those searches. It’s a blended role: half high-volume sourcing and outreach you execute yourself, half the coordination and process ownership that keeps a search moving without a senior recruiter managing it.
- Build Sourcing Strategy: Build and execute sourcing strategy for assigned requisitions using Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, web sourcing, and market mapping to find qualified candidates, including passive talent.
- Run Outreach: Run heavy-volume, personalized outreach campaigns (InMail, email sequences, follow-ups), own your response and conversion rates, and refine sourcing criteria from hiring manager feedback.
- Source With AI: Use AI and research to build target lists of high performers at peer and aspirational companies; AI is a core part of how you identify, qualify, and reach candidates.
- Screen Candidates: Conduct initial phone and video screens for qualification, motivation, compensation alignment, and logistics, and write clear screen notes and recommendations in Lever.
- Keep the Pipeline Clean: Maintain an accurate, de-duplicated pipeline in Lever, keeping candidate records and outreach status current.
- Partner With Hiring Managers: Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for hiring managers: run intake calibration, pipeline reviews, and status updates, set expectations on timelines and market realities, and flag risk early.
- Own the Requisitions: Own your assigned requisitions end to end within your scope, and help refine outreach templates, screening rubrics, and sourcing playbooks.
What You Bring
- 1+ years in recruiting, sourcing, sales development, or a closely related function; prior experience owning outreach volume or running candidate screens is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to run outreach independently, and comfort being the primary point of contact for stakeholders and external candidates.
- Strong written and verbal communication, writing outreach copy, screen notes, and hiring manager updates daily.
- High attention to pipeline hygiene and process discipline, comfortable working in an applicant tracking system (ATS) as the system of record, with proficiency in Lever, Gem, Rippling, or a comparable stack.
- You’ve built or improved a recruiting process before, not just worked inside someone else’s.
- Comfort with ambiguity and volume: this role covers more of the funnel than a typical sourcer or coordinator, and we’re writing the playbook as we go.
- You stay engaged when a search gets hard, and treat recruiting as building a company, not filling a requisition and moving on.
Compensation
$75,000 - $90,000 a year
Samba expects to offer On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $75,000 - $90,000 per year for roles to be performed in New York; actual base salary offered will depend on various factors, including but not limited to, location, experience, and performance. Base salary is just one component of Samba’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives. In addition, Samba provides health insurance, wellness offerings, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO), and other employee benefits.
