ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record, mix, and monitor high-quality audio for interviews, voiceovers, live-to-tape sessions, and studio productions, in both production and postproduction capacities.
- Operate microphones, mixers, audio interfaces, DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations e.g., Pro Tools, Audition), and signal routing systems.
- Operate Sony XVS-6000 Series HD Switcher and Yamaha CL3 Digital Mixing Console.
- Ensure consistent volume, clarity, EQ, noise reduction, and compliance with Pfizer's technical audio standards.
- Operate and maintain the Studio's control room, switcher, routing and communications systems, and monitoring infrastructure.
- Understand and manage audiovisual signal flow (SDI, NDI/IP, Dante, or similar audio networking).
- Support live and hybrid events, including webcasts, town halls, and internal broadcasts.
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair audio, video, and control room systems.
- Maintain documentation of equipment configurations, wiring diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and quality standards.
- Serve as backup camera operator or lighting board operator when needed.
- Support file preparation and basic editing for audio/visual assets.
- Collaborate with Producers and Visual Production to ensure technical readiness and smooth production days.
- Partner with external vendors on equipment repairs, upgrades, and installations.
- Stay current with new technologies, broadcast integrations, and AI-enabled audio workflows.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of professional experience in audio engineering, broadcast operations, or studio technology within corporate, agency, or media environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (Pro Tools, Audition, Logic, or similar), including multitrack editing, mixing, EQ, compression, and noise reduction workflows.
- Demonstrated experience operating digital mixing consoles and broadcast switchers (Yamaha, Sony, Grass Valley, Ross, etc.).
- Deep understanding of signal flow, patching, routing, and audio networking (Dante, AES67, MADI, NDI/IP).
- Hands-on experience working in control rooms, live event environments, or broadcast studios with high-pressure turnaround requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networked AV systems.
- Experience supporting executive communications or enterprise-level live events (town halls, webcasts, hybrid meetings).
- Ability to create and maintain documentation such as wiring diagrams, SOPs, and technical configuration sheets.
- Ability to work collaboratively with producers, visual team members, IT partners, and external vendors.
- Familiarity with AI-powered audio tools (auto-mixing, noise reduction, transcription, and metadata enrichment).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize during fast-paced, multi-project workloads.
- Basic video linear editing for creating string outs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Audition), Microsoft 365 tools, Frame.io, or equivalent review platforms.
- Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.
- Familiarity with corporate accessibility standards (captioning, audio description basics).
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
