Senior GoLang Developer - Distributed Systems

About the Role

We're seeking a Senior GoLang Developer with expertise in building and maintaining distributed systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers for service-to-service communication, demonstrating a deep understanding of microservices architecture and high-performance inter-process communication patterns. You will be working along MLOps and frontend teams. Great opportunity to help lead large projects and gain equity in a fast scaling startup.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using GoLang and gRPC

• Implement robust API authentication mechanisms and manage third-party service integrations

• Build and optimize service-to-service communication using Protocol Buffers

• Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features

• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

• Document technical specifications and API contracts

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers for microservices communication

• Proven track record of building and maintaining production-grade distributed systems

• Experience with GCP or services, particularly Compute Engine, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage, although experience with other cloud providers is acceptable

• Strong understanding of API security, OAuth 2.0, and credential management

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts (CAP theorem, eventual consistency, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

• Contribution to open-source projects

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)

• Experience working with GitLab

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with vector databases like Pinecone

• Background in performance optimization and scalability
