Role Overview

The Chief Operating Officer will serve as the senior operational leader for a rapidly scaling, private equity backed pizzeria platform. This role will own all restaurant-level performance across an expanding multi-brand and multi-unit portfolio. The COO will be responsible for driving EBITDA growth, operational discipline, leadership development, and seamless execution of new acquisitions and organic unit expansion.

This is a true build-and-scale role for an operator who thrives in high-growth, data-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all field operations across a growing multi-unit, multi-market pizzeria platform

  • Own P&L performance, labor optimization, food cost, margin expansion, and unit-level profitability

  • Build and scale a high-performance operating structure including RVPs, Directors of Ops, and Field Leaders

  • Drive standardization across systems, processes, training, and operational execution

  • Partner closely with the CEO and PE sponsor on growth strategy, unit economics, and platform expansion

  • Lead integration of newly acquired brands and locations

  • Oversee new store openings including site readiness, staffing, training, and launch execution

  • Implement KPI dashboards, reporting cadence, and operating rhythms

  • Optimize guest experience, brand execution, service speed, and food quality

  • Serve as a culture carrier and leadership standard across the organization

Ideal Background
  • 10+ years of senior multi-unit leadership in QSR, fast casual, or restaurant platforms

  • Experience operating at scale in a private equity or high-growth environment

  • Strong track record of building teams and scaling multi-market restaurant operations

  • Deep understanding of unit economics, EBITDA drivers, and operational KPIs

  • Experience leading through systems upgrades, restructures, and integration

  • Hands-on, disciplined, and highly execution-oriented leader
