Who we are

Darkroom is a tech-enabled growth firm growing rapidly, with 150+ people and clients like Adobe, Amazon, Fanatics and Olipop. Shadow is the most advanced marketing agent in the world. We're building an operating system for marketing teams to change the entire advertising model. We're moving fast toward a total disruption of the advertising market, leading with services and innovating with software.

Location: New York, 40 Wall St. In person.

The job

You work directly with me on whatever matters most that week. Some weeks that's the fundraise. Some weeks it's fixing a broken team, pricing a new product, or closing a deal. You own it until it's done. Over time, this seat leads to running a line of the business yourself.

  • Run the operating rhythm: leadership, metrics, board and investor prep

  • Help me manage the executive team: set priorities, hold owners to their commitments, and surface problems before they reach me

  • Lead capital raising with me: model, data room, narrative, investor pipeline

  • Take on the hardest projects in the company, start to finish, including M&A and Shadow

  • Be my second brain: decide what needs me, and handle what doesn't

  • Make the company faster with AI, starting with your own work

You
  • Unusually sharp. You learn fast and think clearly on paper

  • 2 to 7 years in investment banking, consulting, or a fund, where you've lived in models and closed real deals

  • Early in your career, hungry, and not yet set in big-company habits

  • You can earn the trust of senior leaders and push them without a title doing it for you

  • You finish things nobody asked you to finish

  • Low ego, high bar

  • In NYC, in the office

What It's Like to Work at Darkroom

Darkroom is not a typical agency. We're looking for A players who want to build something great. We move fast, think deeply, and expect everyone to bring insight and rigor to everything they touch. We hold a high bar for performance, creativity and ownership, and we support each other relentlessly. No egos, no red tape.

We believe in autonomy with accountability, truth over comfort, and outcomes over optics.

  • Unlimited PTO + US holidays: Rebooting is part of the work.

  • In person in NYC: You'll work from our New York office at 40 Wall St, side by side with the CEO.

  • Health & Wellness: Company-sponsored medical, dental and vision coverage.

  • Finances and retirement: A 401(k) with company match and profit-sharing opportunities.

  • Parental Leave: Flexible parental leave for new parents.

  • Growth: A direct path to running a line of the business.

  • Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $225,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual bonus of up to 25% of base salary. The compensation package also includes equity participation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications, with equity grants subject to the company's equity plan and applicable approval processes.

How to Apply

Send your resume and three sentences on the hardest thing you've figured out on your own.

We are dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status.
