Join The Doe Fund on our mission to break the cycles of homelessness, addiction, and recidivism. Our flagship Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) program provides paid transitional work experience, transitional housing, advanced occupational training, and comprehensive supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The Doe Fund is also one of New York City’s largest nonprofit developers of permanent affordable and supportive housing, with more than 1,900 units in operation or pre-development. The Doe Fund has an annual operating budget of $80 million and a full-time staff of nearly 500, a significant portion of whom are graduates of our programs. 

We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Community Improvement Program (CIP) to join our growing team at our 510 Gates Avenue, Brooklyn facility. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Responsible for daily tracking of attendance and entering trainee work hours into the work-to-pay automated system and tracking of PTO for all CIP trainees in the facility assigned to. 
  • Filing of timesheets, injury reports, and filing of special projects/events.
  •  Daily communication with supervisor, Program Directors, and Finance Department.
  • Resolve issues for trainees who have any discrepancies with pay or PTO.
  •  Generate memos, crew lists, and weekly reports. Assist trainees with change of work assignment and updated schedule. Keep up with crew lists daily for changes, print and distribute on Fridays.
  • Assist Dispatch Personnel with calls, assignments, and crew assignments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED
  • Computer proficiency, Google Suite and Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Proficiency in email and database management. 
  • Be able to deal with people daily (customer service)
