The NFL Communications Department is seeking a dynamic, innovative and self-starting candidate for this entry-level role to support the league’s Media, Business and International communications efforts, including Consumer Products, Sponsorship, Legalized Sports Betting, Broadcasting and NFL Media. This position, based at the League Office in New York City, will have a hand in a broad range of issues important to the NFL’s communications strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze the league’s media, business and international coverage
  • Prepare clips and conduct research on media, business and international topics
  • Support the development of talking points and briefing materials
  • Help prepare and post press releases and social media
  • Contribute to the approval process for NFL partner creative
  • Help schedule and support cross departmental meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
  • 1+ years of internship or work experience

Other Key Attributes / Characteristics

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • This position is required to work 40 hours per week in the office, and overtime may be required. This is an FLSA non-exempt position.
  • This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.

Travel

  • Possibility for travel to NFL tentpole events such as Super Bowl, NFL Scouting Combine and NFL Draft
