Apex Service Partners is seeking a dynamic Community Engagement & Social Media Specialist to support our growing presence across the Ohio market. This role is responsible for developing engaging, market-specific content while building strong relationships within the communities we serve. The ideal candidate is both creative and strategic, with a passion for storytelling, community involvement, and brand advocacy. This position is primarily based in our Columbus, Ohio office and will serve as a key connector between our local teams, customers, and communities, ensuring our brand is visible, trusted, and actively engaged at the local level.


The ideal candidate brings an ownership mindset, taking full accountability for driving community engagement and social media initiatives rather than simply supporting existing programs.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Content Creation

  • Develop, curate, and publish high-quality, locally relevant content across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and others.
  • Maintain a consistent, authentic, and engaging brand voice tailored to each local market.
  • Capture photo, video, and real-time content from field activities, events, and branch initiatives.

Community Outreach

  • Act as the primary liaison between our local brands and their surrounding communities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and grassroots engagement.

Local Events & Brand Presence

  • Plan, coordinate, and attend local events, including trade shows, sponsorships, and community initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent and impactful brand visibility throughout the Ohio market.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador across all interactions, both online and in-person.

Feedback, Reporting & Insights

  • Gather customer feedback and market insights from local interactions.
  • Monitor social media engagement and community sentiment.
  • Provide regular reporting on performance metrics, local trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences.

Training & Support

  • Train and support branch personnel on social media best practices and community engagement strategies.
  • Provide guidance to ensure brand consistency across all locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, community engagement, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality with a track record of independently driving initiatives and delivering results.
  • Strong understanding of the business and performance side of social media channels.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, analytics tools, and content creation software.
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly interpersonal with the ability to build relationships across diverse audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of local communities within the Ohio market.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable balancing structured, in-office responsibilities with flexible event attendance, including occasional evenings and weekends.
    • Primary work location is the Columbus, Ohio office.
    • Regular travel throughout the Ohio market and surrounding service areas.
    • Flexibility to attend community events, sponsorships, and networking opportunities during evenings and weekends as needed.
