Ostium is on a simple mission: make it possible for anyone with a digital wallet to trade stocks, commodities, currencies, and crypto with full transparency. No brokers, no freezes, no hidden spreads. We’re replacing the opaque, offshore brokerage model with a transparent, permissionless trading stack built onchain. Every trade, deposit, and withdrawal is verifiable through open, auditable code. We’ve raised $27.9M+ from General Catalyst, Jump, LocalGlobe, Susquehanna (SIG), GSR, Alliance DAO, Soma Capital, Balaji Srinivasan, Meltem Demirors, and others.

About the role

This isn’t a “keep Discord active” job.

You’ll own the spaces where real money moves - traders putting on $50M NASDAQ shorts in one clip - and ensure they feel supported, informed, and connected.

You’ll manage both VIP channels and in-person experiences that reinforce trust and belonging among serious traders.

You’ll have the budget and autonomy to do this properly.

What you’ll lead
  • VIP trader channels
You run the room. You know who’s sizing up, who’s cooling off, and why

  • Discord ops & moderation
Structure, roles, rules, and velocity — all yours

  • IRL experiences
Poker nights, trading competitions, private dinners — curated, not crowded

  • Signal capture
Wins, flow, frustration → clean feedback into GTM + product

  • Trader retention plays
Personal touches that bring big users back

You ensure the people driving our volume feel the difference here.

How you operate
  • Chronically online - and aware of context

  • Calm authority - you can redirect energy without killing momentum

  • Bias to action - see a need, fill it

  • Zero tolerance for noise that erodes trust

  • Ownership means you make the call, not wait for permission.

What you bring
  • Experience managing communities where stakes are high (crypto trading, CFD trading, gamer communities)

  • Strong writing - concise, credible, aligned with brand

  • Comfort hosting intimate gatherings that feel curated and meaningful

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality + judgment around sensitive info

Why Ostium
  • Direct line to founders + growth team

  • Budget and ownership that punches way above other startups

  • Community tied to real market activity, not vanity metrics

  • A role where your work moves the needle on revenue and is compensated accordingly
