The Technology, Product and Data Compensation team is seeking a Compensation Associate. This position supports compensation strategy and execution across Firmwide functions through market analysis, compensation advisory, regulatory support and project delivery.
As a Compensation Associate within the Technology, Product and Data Compensation team, you will work closely with HR Business Advisors and Compensation colleagues to provide analytical insights, support compensation decision-making and contribute to the successful delivery of key compensation initiatives. This role offers exposure to a wide range of compensation activities and requires strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder management skills and attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support compensation activities across the employee lifecycle, including new hire offers, promotions, transfers, retention reviews, forecasting and compensation budgeting.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends, evaluate compensation-related challenges and support data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare compensation models, presentations and recommendations for HR and business stakeholders.
- Partner with HR Business Advisors to provide guidance on compensation practices, policies and programs.
- Support the review and enhancement of compensation policies, processes and governance frameworks.
- Monitor external market trends and compensation benchmarks to support competitive and effective compensation programs.
- Support annual compensation planning and year-end compensation processes.
- Contribute to compensation-related projects, including process improvements, policy updates, reporting enhancements and technology initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency through process simplification, reporting improvements and the use of emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 3 years of experience in Human Resources, Compensation, Finance, Consulting or a related analytical discipline.
- Strong analytical, quantitative and data management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to build effective partnerships and manage stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience preparing business presentations, reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality and controls.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Previous experience in compensation, reward, workforce planning or broader Human Resources functions.
- Experience working with compensation surveys, market data and benchmarking methodologies.
- Familiarity with compensation-related regulatory requirements and governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting annual compensation planning or year-end compensation processes.
- Experience using Business Objects, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI or similar reporting and analytics tools.
- Financial services industry experience is beneficial but not required.
