This position is onsite at our New Rochelle office.
Position Purpose:
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations of the Company, including regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, billing, receivables, payroll and payables, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information and acts as a key financial partner to senior leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts in accordance with GAAP
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll accounting
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and expense classification
- Design, implement, and maintain internal accounting controls
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and short-term liquidity
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare variance analysis and financial insights for leadership
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and regulatory requirements
- Oversee accounting systems and drive process improvements and automation
- Manage, develop, and mentor accounting staff
- Support strategic initiatives, financing activities, and special projects
Job Requirements/Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 8+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Experience in a privately held or mid-sized company environment
- Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, ERP platforms)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000
*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
