Credit Leader

Location: New York, NY. San Diego, CA.· Full-Time

Endeavor is not a big company. We are a small team doing big things — integrating with lenders across the full FICO spectrum, processing millions in patient financing, and helping dental practices convert patients who were previously turned away. Now we are building the infrastructure to do this at scale, and that means building our own credit capability.

This is the first credit hire at Endeavor. You will not inherit a team or a playbook. You will build both.

If you have spent a career in risk modeling and want to finally own the full picture — come build it with us.

What you will do
  • Assess gaps in Endeavor's financing coverage across the FICO spectrum and identify where patients are falling out of the funnel without a matching offer

  • Build and lead Endeavor's underwriting infrastructure — developing the models, data pipelines, and lender feedback loops that power credit decisions at the point of care

  • Design and manage a structured data-sharing framework with Endeavor's lender partners, enabling smarter waterfall placement, higher approval rates, and tighter MDR economics

  • Evaluate lender performance on credit quality, coverage breadth, and approval rates — and surface actionable insights to leadership and lender partners

  • Partner with the Head of Lending and CTO to embed credit intelligence directly into the Endeavor platform and patient application experience

  • Define risk policies and underwriting guidelines as Endeavor expands into healthcare verticals beyond dental

  • Identify and evaluate new lender partners that fill coverage gaps, particularly for near-prime and sub-prime patients where current rejection rates are highest

What we are looking for
  • 10+ years in credit risk, underwriting, or risk modeling — ideally in consumer lending, fintech, or healthcare finance

  • Deep experience building or improving risk models and using credit data to drive measurable business outcomes

  • Fluency in the consumer lending stack — FICO scoring, alternative data, bureau pulls, waterfall logic, and MDR/pricing economics

  • Comfortable working with lender partners on data-sharing agreements, underwriting criteria, and program performance reviews

  • Analytical and hands-on — you can write SQL, interpret model outputs, and present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders

  • Startup mentality — you do not wait for a team to form around you; you build it

  • Experience in medical, dental, or point-of-sale lending is a meaningful plus

Why Endeavor

You will be building something that does not exist yet at Endeavor. The credit decisions that happen on our platform directly determine whether a patient gets care or goes without it. You will have a seat next to the founders, full visibility into the business, and the autonomy to define what credit at Endeavor looks like — from models to lender partnerships to policy.
